Aligning Across Watersheds: A Regional Stormwater Planning Initiative

Thank you for helping us seek new ways to value and protect our communities and the rains that sustain them.

What sustains the Pacific Northwest? Our legendary rains.

Stormwater, and the rain that creates it, runs through our lives, environment and future.

Polluted stormwater is the single largest threat to Puget Sound. The declines in salmon and orca populations, climate changes, and the recognition that we must do more to restore communities of color, all call for new approaches.

Aligning Across Watersheds began with a two-day summit, and continues with all of you.

This collaborative initiative will work to define a more cohesive regional approach to stormwater management, solidify commitments from many partners, and co-design new partnerships, governance models, and stormwater management strategies to improve water quality. Our shared future depends on it.
